Winnipeg Sun: NEWS - Hasty hospitals forget needles: " 95-year-old woman was released from Concordia Hospital on March 31 with an IV catheter still in her vein. The day before, Agnes Alexander, 72, was discharged from Concordia with an intravenous instrument in her arm. "
Everyone stands in line or que for the government services that they have paid for through their taxes. As paid customers they should be treated with effeciency, respect, and courtesy. Most often they are not. They face smug indifference, arrogance, unnecessary delays, by the so called " public civil servants" . Q-jumpers is a blog to get services through any other means , offer competitive alternatives and make government services more accountable and customer user friendly.

Nothing to brag about
Our prime minister goes on and on about how great our health-care system is, but is it really anything we should be bragging about?
According to SARS statistics released from the World Health Organization, Canada had a total of 251 cases with 38 deaths for a death rate of 15%, while the U.S. had a total of 73 cases with a death rate of 0. Maybe we should have sent our citizens who contracted SARS down to the States where they actually would have had a chance to survive?
